That doesn't sound like a very supportive group :( Sometimes people need to hear "that's not cool" to realise they're being kind of a jerk. Good luck finding ways to make it work for you, though if you have the option to go back with a group with whom you gelled better I'd seriously consider it, personally! Happy writing :)
