operasteers: young riddle rosehearts from twisted wonderland manga with a flushed face because he is staring at hedegehog (not depicted in icon) (awawawawa)
[personal profile] operasteers
the nier orchestra was so good... especially when j'nique and emi would turn to each other for their duets and god the way they harmonized was so pretty... and their dresses were so shimmery and dazzling and complimented each other so well (as you can tell, i was very much in love with them, especially how much soul they put into their singing...) and it was really neat seeing keiichi okabe, and even yoko taro, who made a surprise appearance at the end of the concert, in person.... like guao... they were in the same space as i was today... an incredible feeling...

there's always something special about orchestras centered around video games... i always love seeing clips of the game, whether it be cutscenes or gameplay, in those little amv-esque videos they play on the screens. like the ones they had at the kh orchestra were really nice, doubly so when iconic scenes played and you could hear people start to cry

speaking of crying, it was really beautiful seeing people cry during the songs and for the little special episode that was included in the orchestra. like it's nice seeing the way stories connect with people, and honestly it's one of my favorite things to see when i go to an orchestra.

one day i will play the nier series and have proper context, but for now, i am basking in the soul of song (and also laying down because it was a lot of excitement haha)
